The Purpose of this LIFETIME for YOU, according to many Vedic astrologers, Edgar Cayce & myself

I believe in all religions and spiritual practices being equal. This blog speaks to a theory that surrounds that concept - as a child, teen and young adult I was a fairly devout Catholic. I went to confession, I sought redemption and I was cloaked in guilt constantly(catholic school and uniforms included!)...that being said as a young adult my religious and spiritual path lead me to eastern religions and philosophies, as well as to Guru's and monasteries(more than one phoney guru...)...temples and shrines. At 24 I was consumed with Native American beliefs that brought me north and south as well on the spiritual globe. I'm certainly a spiritual globetrotter.

Throughout all of my profound spiritual incarnations, I've always held true to one core belief and that is that we are all part of one being. In my belief love is our universal lesson and language. It's the one way we can all prosper, to give and receive it when and where we can and as often as possible.

The belief that we're all part of one being is typically associated with Jungian theory, in my younger years, I thought I imagined the concept of the universal subconscious only to read Carl Jung and realize I was a fraud without even knowing it! One of many epiphanies that I'll never forget in my waking life.

The concept goes back further in time it has links as far back as the Ancient Egyptians, the notoriously under acknowledged Persian Empire and even the Greeks. The Greeks believed that when they died they had the potential to become Gods or Goddesses, the Persians, and the Egyptians as well (rolling down the river of stars in the afterlife to get to Sirius).

Imagine the above is true, if so then when we've all passed on into the final life we will become the "God" of most monotheistic religions (ideally not Satanism). Thereby these cross-cultural beliefs would be substantiated.

Edgar Cayce was an intriguing eccentric, labeled a mystic like me and often referred to as the "sleeping prophet". He told the world that we all come from the stars and that we're all part of one "entity". He foretold that our souls were constantly living (they never die) and that we borrow our physical bodies (which are miniature models of the galaxy: our heart being the Sun, the other key organs the outer planets) in order to develop our souls until our final (12th incarnation) at which point we in some way will all be able to transcend up and away back into the galaxy, with each other to become the galaxy (and thereby his belief in GOD).

Edgar is known as the "Sleeping Prophet" as all of his predictions came to him while he was in a state of hypnosis. When Mr. Cayce was not in a hypnotic state he alleged that he had no memory of his prophecies. He has been quoted saying that the: "unconscious mind is the souls unadulterated form without the systematic noise of the present"- he claimed that people are living in parallel universes (just like Einstein claimed in his work, Jung too) and that when we are asleep, in meditation or under hypnosis that we're able to travel to and from those universes at our own beck and whim. Our souls in flight within the night...Mmm...I love the sound of it!

Edgar Cayce was an astrologer, like Nostradamus he studied the stars and planets. Like many Hindus who adhere to the predictions of Vedic astrology Edgar Cayce believed that our past lives (remember he thought we all lived 12 times) could be determined by looking at our natal chart.

He also believed in some division between aspects of our soul, for instance Venus (the planet of love) were it in Aries when a person Sun sign (the planet the Sun was in on the day of a person birth) was in Taurus would deduce a person whose soul has to achieve issues tied to the 2nd house in this lifetime before moving on to the 3rd life and the persons love life would have to achieve issues tied to the 1st house- the house of self-improvement before moving on to the next romantic life.

Before you discount him please allow me to point out that Thomas Edison & Woodrow Wilson both utilized his services!!!

Now here's the fun part of this blog we're going to look into your past lives:

To be ready for this installment of the blog I'm going to need you to do a little legwork for me. If you haven't completed or purchased a natal chart I suggest you do that now. You'll need to know your birth time, birth location and birth date (time's not necessary but you can't figure out your ascendant/rising sign without it). There are ways to get your birth chart/natal chart for free but I cannot speak to those on my Blog here on Keen (per Keen's policies...hint..hint).

Once you have your natal chart you will see planets and listed next to the planets the signs they occupy. For instance, I am a Sun: Sagittarius, Moon: Virgo, Rising(aka-ascendant): Scorpio and my Venus is in Sagittarius.

Once you locate the planets and signs you have to write down what sign your Sun, Moon, Venus, and Rising are in and then return to this blog!

Now, the rest will be self-explanatory, scroll down to the sign and read about how many lives you've had and the purpose BUT keep in mind that every planet signified a different life that your soul is on/lesson it's learning.

Here's a key for good measure and to help with comprehension as I am aware of how perplexing and disheveled I can be in my rambling blogs of disorganization (I'll be archiving and categorizing all weekend Ladies & Gents!):

Now that you have the key and your handy list of planets and signs locate the signs below and read all about it, keeping in mind the key listed right above this!

Aries- If your Sun is here this is your 1st lifetime and you are a "new" soul! In this lifetime you're dealing with issues surrounding self-improvement, debate and attracting who and what you want. You're putting yourself first in this lifetime and that's the goal. In this instance it is not selfish of you it's necessary for you to do so as a "baby soul".

Taurus-If your Sun is here this is your 2nd lifetime and you are a "new" soul! In this lifetime you're dealing with issues surrounding WEALTH, your goal in this lifetime is tied to money. Amass it, invest it and prosper. You're stubbornness and loyalty in this life will also need to come under your complete control in this lifetime. Remember to let the matador survive in other words.

Gemini- If your Sun is here this is your 3rd lifetime and you are a fairly "new" soul. In this lifetime you're dealing with issues surrounding short distance travel, an unhappy childhood, siblings, neighbors, mechanics (of all sorts) and COMMUNICATIONS. You're likely to be inventing, fixing or selling things in this lifetime.

Cancer- If your Sun is here this is your 4th lifetime and you're a "young adult" soul. Your goal in this lifetime is tied to your home and hearth and the family that dwell there. You must nurture, protect and assist those in your home that are in need. You'll be placed in a position where you must be the quintessential patriarch or matriarch of your family in this life.

Leo-If your Sun is here this is your 5th lifetime and you're a "young adult" soul. Your goal in this lifetime is tied to romance, flirtation and children, music is also ruled by the 5th house so Leo anywhere in your chart makes you a natural musician or connoisseur of music. Your goal in this lifetime to is to find a dramatic romance, a real fairytale, to engage with and inspire children and to create, savor or dance to music. You have a responsibility in this lifetime to remain young at heart, this is the house of children- you must in some way remain one.

Virgo-If your Sun is here this is your 6th lifetime then you're in the "mid-life" section of your soul. Your goal in this lifetime is to be of service (I know, it's a bit of a bummer but the next life is all about soul mates!). You're going to need to provide services to other people for their benefit in this lifetime. Dealing with or working in the field of health and medical skill sets is practically assured. This is the lifetime of being the salt of the earth. Animals love you in this lifetime: dog, deer, bears and even crocodiles you are a natural animal charmer.

Libra-If your Sun is here this is you the 7th lifetime and you're officially in the "mid-life" of your soul. Your goal in this lifetime is to find your soul mate, more than any other sign this is what your life is all about. You likely noticed that you're always wondering if there's something or someone "better" out there for you...if you're asking that than there still is and you will find them to move on to the 8th life! In addition to finding your soul mate, you're also going to find more open enemies in this life than any other.

Scorpio-If your Sun is here this is your 8th lifetime and you're officially an "old soul" now. Your goal in this lifetime is to deal with shared resources, DEATH, paranoia, the government (yes, the IRS), s-@-# and jealousy. In this lifetime sharing and caring are lessons to be learned, the government will affect you in a significant way at least once in your life. Your s-#-$ life is going to be taboo (eventually) and other people will know it, they sense it if they're not participating. You inspire and you dish out jealousy in this lifetime. Close deaths, deaths at a young age, witnessing death, being visited by the dead--- in some way you're going to deal with more death issues in this life than any of the others (aside from the final life- the 12th-Pisces).

Sagittarius- If your Sun is here this is your 9th lifetime then you're with the "old souls" club. Like a cat, you're on the 9th one Sages. Your goals in this life are tied to Law, Travel, Academia, and Religion or Spiritual pursuits. You'll engage in law more in this life than in any of the other. Travel far and wide will beckon you until you appease the unrelenting desire for it again and again. Learning or teaching, hopefully, the two together will be paramount in your life in whatever planet Sagittarius is in for you. Finding a God/Goddess/philosophy or some other Divine is what you must do to move on to the 10th life. This is the lifetime of expansion and liberation from any constructs that are not subjectively your own after you've discovered your spiritual place on this plane.

Capricorns-If your Sun is here this is your 10th lifetime then you're with the "old souls" club. Your goals in this life are tied to your reputation, career (addicts!) and popularity. This is the life where your focus is on your career, it's bound up with your identity and your ability to soar there assures your movement into the 11th life. You'll deal with more issues tied to your "reputation" in this life than in the others. There are moments of major accolades as well as the potential for major criticisms tied up with your career and your reputation. You've got that "special something" that everyone wants in this lifetime, that's why you've been popular since you were a child. You live life in reverse- when you're young you are seemingly more mature and responsible than everyone your age, as you age you seem to become younger.

Aquarius-If your Sun is here this is your 11th lifetime (so close to the last!)-you are the "elderly of the souls". Your goals in this life are tied to helping humanity at large, you'll be able to do so thanks to helping from exes, in-laws or VIPS. You're going to find that you've got the knack to rebel and cause social and cultural changes (inspiring others!) and so this rebellion is in actuality a tool used for the betterment of mankind (though as a teen/young adult your parents may not see that yet!). You move on to the next and final life once you've managed to help dozens upon dozens of people in this lifetime.

Pisces-If your Sun is here this is your 12th lifetime (fin) and you're officially the "oldest of souls". Your goals in this lifetime are tied up with self-sabotage, karma, everything paranormal, ghosts, addiction, and martyrdom. This is your final lifetime and you've absorbed everything from your past 11, now what's left is your ability to either rise like a phoenix or sink into the dirt as a Pisces. Will your soul sour through the crazy happenings of this lifetime that began when you were a child placed in a cold environment or will you end up martyring yourself in this lifetime? Ghost surround you in this lifetime, so too do Vultures. Be on guard. In any case...the end is near and so too is your return to being with OR becoming a God/Goddess.
